The District is located in western Indian River county. The total District area, of approximately 11,250 acres is located entirely within Indian River County
The SRID generally lies between 74th Avenue to the east, 90th Avenue to the west, 26th Street to the south, and County Road 512 to the north. Please refer to the map above.

Of the approximate 11,250 acres represented within the SRID, about 80% is classified agricultural.
The assessment base for the SRID is represented by 10,046 assessed acres. A per acre assessment is levied each year against the acres or fraction of acres thereof located within the SRID. The annual year (fiscal year) budgeted assessment is approved each year by the Board of Supervisors at their annual meeting in June. The fiscal year period for the SRID commences October 1, and terminates at the close of business on September 30, the following year.

Refer to provided process procedures and Permit Application. Any and all uses of SRID rights of way must go through a SRID permit Application process and must be approved by the SRID Board of Supervisors or their designee. All applications will include a non-refundable application fee and a retainer fee as determined by the SRID. No review of proposed works within the SRID shall commence without the complete satisfaction of the Application / Permit process as determined by the SRID.

Water Quality Testing
The SRID utilizes an independent / certified testing lab to perform quarterly water sampling of the water within the SRID system.
